    Bio

    EPHEMERA

Efemara’s lush and blissful music blends electronic and world music with the intention to create inspiration for inner journeys, dance and consciousness expansion.

Tim Gennert was born in San Francisco in the 1960's and grew up being deeply influenced and surrounded by psychedelic music and artists.

Tim has worked in the music and media business as a producer/engineer since the early 1980's and has had the great honor to have known and worked with some amazing people including the Grateful Dead, Ram Das, Sogyal Rinpoche, Chitrish Das, Tom Waits and Kitaro, to name just a few.

As he has progressed, electronic music has also progressed. He has followed other artists that have furthered this art form: Brian Eno,

Tangerine Dream, Klause Schultz, Bill Nelson, Peter Gabriel, Jean Michael Jarre, Vangelis, Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd and all the others that pioneered the music that seems to have taken over the world. Early Genesis and Peter Gabriel were certainly some of his main influences.

As a composer and a songwriter, TIm is developing techniques that use modern technology without damaging what he considers the most valuable part of music: human expression and the underlying spirit that goes with it. His main focus now is to bring Love and compassion to the people he interacts with and to create environments were Love is the only vibration present, locally and universally.

Eostar Kamala is a singer/songwriter and sound healer immersed in sacred music, stemming from her interest in yoga, mysticism and sacred plant medicines.

Born in Hungary, Eostar knew from early on that she wanted to wander off into the unknown on a quest to find freedom and her authentic self.  She moved to the United States as a young woman, settling on the West Coast where she became a yoga teacher, was initiated into the Essene Path of Mystical Communion and pursued life as a visual artist, sound-healer, poet and musician, fronting the devotional new- age folk band Fearless Love in Eugene, Oregon.  After she moved to California, she co-founded the devotional psychedelic rock band “Eostar and the WEB of ONE”.   With this band, Eostar toured the West Coast of the USA for more than a decade.  In 2017 they published “Illuminate” - their celebrated studio album featuring Eostar’s original songs.

In Efemara, Eostar is merging all of her earlier musical experiences together with her mystical experiences as she is aiming to create a perfect space for meditation, transcendence and dynamic movement all at the same time.  Away from the constraints of musical compositions, she is enjoying letting her voice and her instruments take flight on the wings of improvisation and the palpable Presence of the sacred moment.
